I Want To Repent But

I Want To Repent But …

Muhammad Saleh al-Munajjid | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 35 | Size: 1 MB
With the passage of the time it is becoming clearer that the modern age is not simply suffering from a moral crisis but of total confusion about what is right what is wrong. The tragedy is not that the finer points go unappreciated but that the world has come to question the validity of even the age-old truths. This has left young men and women totally confused about their course of action. Injustices are multiplying at the great pace and threaten to explode any moment into a fire-ball of conflicts that may engulf the whole world. In such circumstances this book is a welcome addition. It offers penitent useful guidelines and dwell upon those aspects of repentance that are the very specialty of Islam.

The Search For The Truth

Dr. Saleh as-Saleh | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 33 | Size: 1.5 MB
The Search For The Truth: Today, many people are curious about Islam, but their knowledge about this faith may vary. Their knowledge may have been gained from an article, a book, or part of a religious text book at high school they may have read. They may have known some Muslims, passed by a Mosque, watched a documentary or the evening news, or they might have traveled to a Muslim country. To some, Islam is ‘just another religion’, but for many others, it has become something ‘interesting’ to ‘look’ at.

The Status Of Jesus In Islam

The Status Of Jesus In Islam

http://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/the-status-of-jesus-in-islam.jpg?w=450&h=395&h=395

By Dr. Rabee’ Ibn Haadee Al-Madkhalee | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 31 | Size: 1 MB
In this brief treatise, the author sets out to clarify Islam’s true position towards Jesus, which is the middle course between two extremes. At one extreme there are those who believe that Jesus is God, the Son of God or part of a divine trinity while on the other extreme there are others who slander him and deny his message.

The correct belief regarding Jesus as confirmed in the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad’s teachings is that he was no more than a prophet and messenger of God sent with the same message as all the prophets before him such as Moses, Abraham and Noah. That message was to worship God alone and avoid false deities. This is the one true unwavering message of the Creator to His creation throughout the course of time, and it is the same message that Jesus brought to his people and which Muhammad brought to his people after him.

We hope that this short treatise will serve as an invitation to Christians to reflect on the beauty and simplicity of Islam, which has taken a moderate stance towards Jesus, assigning him a lofty role as one of the foremost messengers of God.

About the Author:

Dr. Rabee’ Ibn Haadee Al-Madkhalee is one of the well-known scholars of Saudi Arabia. He is a former graduate and professor at the renowned Islamic University of Madeenah. He has authored numerous books and treatises about Islam which clarify misconceptions and false notions concerning it.

The Quran tells us many wonderful things about Jesus. As a result, believers in the Quran love Jesus, honor him and believe in him. In fact, no Muslim can be a Muslim unless he or she believes in Jesus, on whom be peace. The Quran says that Jesus was born of a virgin, that he spoke while he was still only a baby, that he healed the blind and the leper by God’s leave and that he raised the dead by God’s leave. What then is the significance of these miracles? First, the virgin birth. God demonstrates His power to create in every way. God created everyone we know from a man and a woman. But how about Adam, on whom be peace? God created him from neither a man nor a woman. And Eve from only a man, without a woman. And finally, to complete the picture, God created Jesus from a woman, without a man.

What about the other miracles? These were to show that Jesus was not acting on his own behalf, but that he was backed by God. The Quran specifies that these miracles were performed by God’s leave. This may be compared to the Book of Acts in the Bible, chapter 2, verse 22, where it says that the miracles were done by God to show that he approved of Jesus. Also, note that Jesus himself is recorded in the Gospel of John to have said: ‘I can do nothing of my own authority’ (5:30). The miracles, therefore, were done not by his own authority, but by God’s authority. What did Jesus teach? The Quran tells us that Jesus came to teach the same basic message which was taught by previous prophets from God – that we must shun every false god and worship only the One True God. Jesus taught that he is the servant and messenger of the One True God, the God of Abraham. These Quranic teachings can be compared with the Bible (Mark 10:18; Matthew 26:39; John 14:28, 17:3, and 20:17) where Jesus teaches that the one he worshipped is the only true God. See also Matthew 12:18; Acts 3:13, and 4:27 where we find that his disciples knew him as ‘Servant of God’. The Quran tells us that some of the Israelites rejected Jesus, and conspired to kill him, but God rescued Jesus and raised him to Himself. God will cause Jesus to descend again, at which time Jesus will confirm his true teachings and everyone will believe in him as he is and as the Quran teaches about him. Jesus is the Messiah. He is a word from God, and a spirit from Him. He is honored in this world and in the hereafter, and he is one of those brought nearest to God. Jesus was a man who spoke the truth which he heard from God. This can be compared with the Gospel According John where Jesus says to the Israelites: ‘You are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God’ (John 8:40).

Perfect Muslim Character In The Modern World

Perfect Muslim Character In The Modern World

Mustafa At-Tahan | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 304 | Size: 9 MB
Today, Islam is frequently misunderstood because of the character of the Muslims who misrepresent Islam. This partially due to their ignorance and being distracted by this worldly life. At the same time, many Muslims are struggling to develop their characters and personalities in the mould of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his early Companions. This has become increasingly difficult with many trials faced in their daily lives. However, Islam is comprehensive and as we have seen, the perfect Muslim character has been able to transcend throughout time and various situations. This is because the formula laid for us by Allah (swt) and exemplified by His Prophet (pbuh) is able to be implemented in all situations.

Major Sins

Major Sins

Imam Shamsu ed-Deen Dhahabi | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 192 | Size: 2 MB
Major sins are defined as what is forbidden by Allah and His Messenger in the Qur’an and the Sunnah in addition to what is narrated on the authority of early Muslims. Allah, the Most high, promises whoever avoids the major sins to expiate his minor sins. Allah, the Almighty says, {If ye (but) eschew the most heinous of the things which ye are forbidden to do, we shall remit your evil deeds, and admit you to a gate of great honour.}(An-Nisaa :31).

Acknowledgment:

In translating this book EI-Falah staff members attempted to study and analyze some books published in the same field in order to be consistent. Although the book was written in the same style and wording used by the early Muslim scholars, the translators, in turn, have nothing but to assimilate, paraphrase and then translate in a simple English structure. Therefore, we are indebted to our translators:

Wa’il A. Shehab
Mahmud AI-Qastawi
Great appreciation is due to our editor, Jeewan Chanicka under whose guidance and supervision the
subject matter took form. Our gratitude goes to friends, associates, and professors for their valuable advice and help and for many useful things we have learnt from them. In truth, the benefit yielded from this book as a spiritual sermon began before it was sent to the printer’s as it puts before our eyes the abode, which we are going to.

PREFACE:

Praise be to Allah under Whose Might all worlds are subdued and all hearts acknowledge and surrender to in fear. Thanks are due to Him for concealing my faults and sins. May Allah bless the Messenger, Muhammed and give him peace upon whom Allah revealed the surah of Qaf. To commence: I introduce this book (Major sins) written by Imam Dhahabi in another form. As I verified the text, documented1 the hadiths and maxims, and elaborated on the difficult words. Thus, it is better to keep on reading this book day and night alone and aloud. You have to bear in mind that what you view in this world is either good or bad, clear or vague, a lust followed by sorrow or sins followed by gloom. Therefore, you have to reject a perishable joy or lust, a binding condemnity, an inevitable sorrow, and a grievous affliction. Judge yourself before being judged by Allah the Lord of the universe. Remember that the one who will be prosperous, is the one who washes away the filth of his sins by repentance while repentance is available, awaked and gets out from the place of sins to the fort of guidance before repentance and apology are of no avail. May Allah safeguard us with His sleepless eyes and keep us away from faults and sins for He is the All-Hearing, the Nearest.
